Mutihir Isttifaanus

Sunday, June 3 would for a long time remain in the memory of Nigerians especially victims of Flight 9J 992 which crashed in Lagos. The flight was Lagos bound from Abuja.

For Vivien Effiong Atangakak, a crew member on the plane, was due to get married on July 28, 2012 but the dream of becoming a wife and a mother ended abruptly.

Maimuna Ayene was on board with her husband, kids and mother but they all died in the air disaster. The other painful aspect of their death is that her kids were visiting Nigeria for the first time.

Echendu Ibe and Jennifer Ibe Mother and daughter were to board a flight in Lagos to India for medical checkup. The young girl had a heart problem. These are just some cases of victims from the crash.

Here are some pictures of the victims of the ill-fated flight.

May their souls rest in perfect peace.

May their soul rest in peace and also i pray that God should comfort their families.

With heavy hearts but in total submission to the will of God we endure these great loss of lives. On the resurrection morn, we shall see again to be caught up to Christ and reign in His Kingdom to come with everlasting peace. Oh death where is thy victory?! O grave, where is thy sting?! I pray the families of the departed ones the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.

Jesus replied, “Your brother will come back to life again. "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live even if he dies and the one who lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?”
John 11:25 - 26

No doubt the government of Nigeria is lacking in many areas, and I stress many areas, but a lesson from this tragedy is that we should live every day as if it was our last. Who are the Watchmen? (Isaiah 21:11)
1. Those that were saddled with the responsibilty of ensuring Dana Aircraft was fit to fly.
2. Those that God has positioned to see ahead and warn His people of impending evil
3. Everyone.....You and I - We must hold our destiny tight and hold on to God

The milk is spilled......its painful especially when it could have been avoided.....same plane was said to have had hitches 3 times in May 2012. Watchman, have you collected money in exchange of innocent people's lives?

Is not all the death that God knows why, God has done his own part by preventing the plane from crashing from Lagos to Calabar airport, with his grace,he also prevented it from Calabar to Abuja. #why will a greedy man insist that a faulty engine should fly?We are talking about an object hanging on 10000feet from the earth, lives was not put into consideration, money was the first in the order of preference. pls peep, let's give a thought about our lives,it can be anyone at anytime.God has promised us long life if we walk according to his will and ordinances, it is not his will that man created in his own image should perish,i think the owner of that Dana did not walk according to God's will but his will, and such was the result.A result that children become fatherless and women become widow, while men turn widower overnight. When we reflect on our lives, certainly we will come into a conclusion that man is the architect of his own problem. May the soul of the departed ones through the mercy of God rest in perfect peace.

Corruption....
Chuck-Indiannapolis | 6/5/2012 8:20:33 AM
Corruption is a sin bedeviling our great Nation Nigeria....a nation God created with great and wonderful intention as HE ,GOD had always hoped for a better future for HIS children...This reminds me of what JESUS said concerning the collapse of the tower of siloam where the oocupants of the tower perished..and HE said if you people DON'T REPENT,..YOU WILL PERISH LIKE THESE ONE'S'..Let all Nigerian corrupt leaders, women and men, young and old,boy and girl,Governors and The Governed ...Repent!!! cause...all these are the fruits of what THE EVIL called corruption has brought...to us
Tears, sorrow, sad moment and grieve...How could an aircraft..that was not certified for air passenger carriagge be given clearance to fly....just because..some one out there...seated on some blood and ill gotten cash bribe to enrich his personal purse...what a SIN!!!...bringing agonizing moments to hundreds of families....God will judge you....Repent or you perish....flee from corrupt practises...corrupt minds...OR see God heap HIS wrath on you and your generation....

Mama Africa | 6/5/2012 9:13:49 AM
Lord God Almighty, the Creator of heaven and earth, the giver of life. We come before you this day asking you to intervene in this world. Africa has walked away from you Lord and look at what we reap for our sins. Innocent children are suffering for the sins of the fathers. Mighty God you said nothing is impossible if only we believe. This day, let us all believe that God will wash away our sins, cleanse us from all unrighteousness and restore us. Forgive the sins of the departed and we pray that they rest in your perfect peace. Remove all those who are in positions of authority and yet their hearts are full of greed and evil. Elect your people oh God in positions of authority and let your name be glorified in heaven and earth. Wewill not question you why this happened Lord because we are just mere vessels Lord. I do know that these people have experienced premature death adn that is not the life you promised us Lord. You promised life, and life in abundance. Let your peace that surpasses all understanding envelope those who are mourning today Lord. Give those whose hearts have been broken strength to go on and continue believing in you Lord. Touch everyone's heart this day, break us and mold us into the people you intended us to be Lord. Let your perfect will be done on this earth Lord and let the world know that only you are God. Amen

My message is to nfc, please remove the picture of the supposed pilot (the pilot wearing sunglasses), yes my brother was supposed to have been one of the pilots on the ill fated flight but had called in sick and was replaced. we are still in shock and awe at this moment that God saved him. i do not mean to spite anyone grieving at this point for we are grieving as well with you. may God bless you all and thank you nfc for remembering those we lost.

Secondly, how would you eel if your relative(s) happens to be among the victim?
Thirdly, how would you feel if the plane had landed in your residence?

Nobody knew when he or she will die but we all pray for God to give us the grace to finish our mission here on earth before departure. When something happens directly to someone, that is when he or she will know how painful it is but now the people that contributed indirected to this dasterdily act may not know the gravity of what they have done, simply because of money "wealth". We all should always remember that, there is always a price for every work, due to this fact know sin will go unpunished. People in power should look into this Omen carefully in order to guide such act from not re-occurring again because we dont know what will happen again and the people that mighty be a victim " by the grace of God this will never happen again" but Federal Government "Safety should be our primary goal" because that is the bedrock of everything in life. God have mercy for all that lost there lives and give there people the straight to bear the lost in Jesus name.

Adams | 6/5/2012 9:44:40 PM
This is all too much to bear. This is as a result of the incapability of governmeant of a poverty ridden generation where people at the lowest pecking of a company cut corners to make more money. Because of poverty, people have been so used to corruption that they would risk flying such a plane without proper maintainance so as to cut cost and make more shady money for the engineers. This is to let you know that 75% of Nigerians does not live on their salaries alone but also cut corners so as to meet up to their responsibilities. The rich are getting richer, the poor are getting poorer and the inocents are paying with their lives.......whata country. We were not ripe for independence when we got it, I think Nigeria is like a typical area boy that has no control all because he lost both parent at a tender age and got noone to direct him.

Well no one can question our creator, but most time we are the course of our early death out of carelessness. Anybody who is ready to run a plane business in Nigeria should go for a new plane not a used one. for God sake this is something that fly in the air, our Government should do something about it. IT IS FROM ALLAH WE COME, TO HIM WE RETURN. The death of this people is only preaching to those of us that is still living on Earth to shun evil and do good because the world is a market place we shall all go back home one day.

Tears, tears and tears again. Life is transient. Death is a certainty but nobody will choose to die this way yet we lose loved ones this way. Pains and heartaches make us shrivel and numb. Each time i look at my kids and husband, the thought pops up- i will miss them someday. Will it be illness? Natural disaster? Accident? How? Then i look up and make a prayer: God may i be prepared to meet u when i will. Vanity upon vanity all is vanity. God is watching us, he will console the affected homes for only him can

Life is transient. Death is a certainty, but none of us would choose to die this way if only we had the choice! Daddies, mummies and nature's best kids! All gone in flames. Pains give us deep stabs in the heart, we cry till no more tears, we stare into blank spaces, we are tortured by thoughts of the lovely and happy moments shared with these ones who are no more. The man sees pictures of his wife and kids on the office table, on the screen of his laptop, in the living room, everywhere! The woman waits in vain to here the husband's car at the gate, or his sneaking into the bedroom to take her unawares. She hears the kids giggle as they play in the background. The trauma is unimaginable! There could no consolation except God sends some and i know he will. Knowing I'll leave someday whether through illness, accidents or natural disaster i make this prayer: may i be ready to meet my God when i will for only then will the pain be less painful. Looking unto Jesus, he'll help us prepare.

How I wish it is possible to turn back the hand of the clock. It is obvious that you saw your death coming but couldn't do anything to save your lives. I can imagine the pain, the heartbreak, the cry for help, which never came.

May God who allowed it to happen grant your souls eternal rest and happiness in His Kingdom, where there is no pain, heartbreak and helplessness.

Surely, "IT IS WELL WITH YOUR SOULS."

For those they left behind, may Jesus console you like Mary and Martha in the Bible. May His Grace be sufficient for you to face tomorrow. "IT IS WELL WITH YOU TOO."

The terrible incidence of 3/6/12 is quite devastating. however, I agree with the comment that business men running aviation industry should be made to go for new plane otherwise they should go for land transport business as usual for Nigerian business men,.

it shows bad taste having a situation like this in nigeria, we are known as the giant of africa... The most powerful in black africa! Wht is wrong with this country? First it was boko aram now its plane crash... My people this is the year 2012 not 1856! We have a bunch of indians from bangladesh bringing down suicidal plane, lack maintenance or service, we allowed them to talk us into flying an unfit plane, god! We still have a long way to go, this sudden deaths could have been avoided if there was no corruption with the maintenance people that are fully blindfolded heavily in the name of corruption! What is the aviation minister doing? Is she competent enough? Well i guess its time for you to go to work woman!!.....sweet jesus! Comfort the families of this victims for me. Rest in peace beautiful people.

I fill so bad when ever i here people say "may the souls of the dana airplane victims R.I.P" why would their souls R.I.P, after going through painful death? Why would that aircraft leave the ground, when they no that it was bad? This, i think is a calculated attempt, to take the life of innocent Nigerians and they must be brought to book, before these souls can R.I.P. Finally Nigerian are waiting for the outcome of the investigation.

When I look at the brilliant personas that had gone before their God slated time because of the hungry-to-get-wealth businessmen. My heart was loaded with tears as I watch those little kids who abruptly became orphans just because someone selffish interest. Well the harm has already been done...but the harm was avoidable if someone had done what he/she would have done on time. The culprit behind these will find all way possible to supress the truth and revelations but God for the sake of those innocent people who paid them their had earned money for a services aimed at dropping them at their destination and not to killed them as it turn out to be will not allow them to supress the revelations. Who ever that is involve in this in one way or the other should be made to face the full penatlty of their actions collectively or singularly. it shows bad taste having a situation like this in nigeria, we are known as the giant of africa... Nigeria is no more a giant of Africa ,this nation has turned to a place of shedding bloods. Our leaders refuted to deliver and perform in their various government position, most especially the lawmakers. Come to think of it, why would a nation like Nigeria imported a plane that had already been abandoned and packed just because its engine is critically faulty by its original owner(ALASKA AIRLINE U.S)? The plane was manufactured in 1990. They shifted that plane to Nigeria without repairing the engine first and changed its name to DANA AIRLINE. The aviation department of the government and lawmakers should have intercept that plane from being shifted to our nation. Our leaders are senseless and self centered. Now our fellow citizens are all gone and i promise that their ghost will continue to haunts you.

Nigerians are yet to understand the ugly side of this whole thing. Indian spiritual masters Arived Nigeria few days before this crash, what did they come to do?. The truth remains tha this Indians used this 153 Nigerians for sacrifice !. It was a ritual done by Indians in nigeria against the Nigerian people.Nigerians should watch that this Indians may come up with another Airline after this whole thing. It was a big loss to Nigeria but God almighty will certainly PUNISH them for their sins !

Nigerians should also watch Air Nigeria AIrline.I entered their flight and my experience was better immagined. The front tire of that particuler plane was completlely warn out, the wires were already coming out. For the plane to land, it was like a molue applieing its break.even as a novice one will know that all is not well. The pilots and other Fliers know what am talking about Without prejudice Air Nigeria is a disaster flying someday to happen someday if they don't change. their ways and begin to maintain their planes.the pilots went on strike possibly cos of this lack of maiintanance of their plane. Please the government should look into the air worthinesss of Air Nigeria, we are all cursing DAna Airline but worst than Dana is there-INFACT AIR NIGERIA SHOULD BE GROUNDED.

It is very sad to the great nation and great nigeria...,now who is to blame of this mass deceased that touch life of nigerian hopes.nigerians are no longer happy for these casualties, because the rate of death of adult is augmenting than rate of infant, due to weare not praying to all mighty God. My wife's sister was on board when the plane landed Abuja after taking off from Uyo. According to her, the plane tumbled twice in the air on their way to Abuja. Only God gave them safety to have arrived Abuja. Having such problem, why should the same plane take off again to Lagos? Everything is wrong with the technical crew. And even when the plane was about to crash land, don't they have parachute? Can they give parachute for those who can jump? Even when the pilot called in to report the problem, where is emergency rescue helicopter team who should have rescued some lives? I think Nigeria isn't ready for air travel and they should be flushed. Rest in peace souls of the departed

Whosoever has a hand in the death of those innocent souls will NEVER go Scoot free. He must get the reward of betraying the trust those souls had in the safety of that aircraft.
To the relatives of the deceased, please pull yourselves together, for God who sees and knows all will bring you JOY again. Be strong and accept my condolence. Keep looking up to God, and He will appear to you as a Sun of Righteousness, He will brighten you up again and give you PEACE. I know it is not easy to let go the memories of those you cherished so much but time will heal you wound and also wash you pain. I want you to stand firm even in the face of this calamity and let not its wind throw you down. Please take heart, you will be well again.

okigbo | 6/9/2012 1:48:22 AM
tragedy is part of human existentialism. in tragedies like this, one may be inevitably tempted to question God, which is human. the victims' relatives, which i am one of them, and Nigerians, we have to cry and mourn for our dear ones. casualties must continue to happen, but man however should try to his most possible efforts to avert them. but when it becomes inevitable, let us accept their concomitant fate.
please let us not crucify the DANA airline. it is unfortunate that their airline was instrumental to this tragedy. it could equally be any other airline, nobody can tell.
my co- mourners, i am sorry for the lost of your dear ones. take heart and move forward. it has happened.

Sad, Hurt, Angry and Why?
Alex | 6/9/2012 2:32:41 PM
My heart bleeds for everyone affected by this devastating plane crash. May God give you the strength to move on and come to terms with this tragedy.

When are Nigerians going to realise that cutting corners has its costs. I left Nigeria over 35 years ago but little has changed in the way people operate. Many put personal wealth before the country's good. A plane banned from flying in other countries is permitted in Nigeria. How much money changed hands to permit this? Can't believe many still live without water and no electricity. WHERE ARE THE NIGERIANS WHO WANT CHANGE AND WILL STAND UP FOR IT? WHERE ARE THE NIGERIANS WHO WILL STICK UP FOR WHAT'S RIGHT AGAINST ALL ODDS?

Some many churches, yet so few with godly integrity!!!!

In Egypt, Turkey, Libya many have lost their lives to liberate their countries. Will the death of the Dana victims be in vain? Perhaps we could use social media to trigger change, are we are bold enough to organise mass protests?. Will it make a difference? Have Nigerians had enough?

So many questions, so few answers. I am mourn with all who mourn. So sorry!!!

THERE IS EVIL IN THE LAND
SAM | 6/10/2012 5:55:08 AM
For an abomination of this nature to occur where orphans were created and entire lineages wiped out in one second, without Divine intervention, should tell us who are alive that THERE IS EVIL IN THE LAND. THERE IS TOO MUCH BLOODSHED AND DIABOLIC WICKEDNESS IN THIS LAND AND GOD MAY HAVE TURNED AWAY. It is time to speak out; it is time to repent; it is time to seek the face of God again in penitence, with ash on our heads; it is time to stop wickedness to ourselves; it is time for government to tell the people the truth. Above all it is time to stop shedding innocent blood - for whatever reasons - witchcraft, rituals, boko haram, politics, etc. IF NOT MORE HORROR IS ON THE WAY BECAUSE THE BLOOD OF THE INNOCENT INCLUDING THESE VICYTIMS ARE CRYING OUT AGAINST US..

For the children of the departed, the scripture says, after the death of Abraham the LORD blessed Isaac. D LORD wl bless & keep u from all evil, u shal b mighty in d land and great shal b ur peace. Answer me you selfish and self-centered managers. Only Daina airline management are responsible for this. Purgatorian Club on Facebook | 6/17/2012 3:51:07 AM
Eternal rest grant unto them O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon them, may they rest in peace, amen.
This is a great tragedy and a monumental loss to the entire nation and beyond. The harm has been caused, a big vacuum has been created and a great pain has been inflicted on the families of the bereaved. Our condolences to their families, friends and the entire nation. To their families, we ask God Almighty to grant you all speedy recovery from this indescribable shock, heal your wounds and fill whatever gap your loved ones' exit might cause you. To those lovely innocent babies, if their parents/ guardian have not yet baptized them, a spiritual baptism should be administered immediately so that God can receive them in His majestic kingdom.

We are Purgatorian Club, we intercede for poor helpless souls that have not reached their destination in heaven. We urge you all to weep less and convert your tears to prayer because your loved ones are in most need of your prayer at this moment. Feel free to visit us on Facebook and learn more about us.

Once more accept our sympathy, cheer up, pick up your pieces, take good care of yourselves and move on. Adieu our fallen heroes!!!
