When the star actress. Lola Alao left her hubby a few years back, not many people liked the idea of their separation. The man, Dare Ogunlana said so many things about Lola, his estranged wife. Today, it seems that everything is falling into right places to exonerate the gorgeous but highly controversial actress, Lola from all allegations as her ex-hubby, Dare’s marriage to his Nigerian wife, Lande, based in the United States of America has crashed.
The marriage blessed with three children crashed due to irreconcilable differences and failure to meet some family commitments. Lande, a younger sister to former Surulere Local Government Chairman, Mayor Hakeem Dickson has left Dare in their New Jersey, USA home and moved to Atlanta with her three kids. The separation according to close family sources was without drama but very painful to family and friends that they ended the marriage in such manner, especially at a time many had concluded they have weathered all storms.
“Can you imagine that Lande tolerated Dare even when he went to Nigeria to marry Lola, the actress who had a baby girl for him? He stood by him throughout but we are surprised that after all they have passed through and the kids have grown they chose to part each other. It’s painful to those of us close to them,” a source close to the couple in New Jersey, USA told this office.
Dare, who met Lola on the set of Bukky Wright’s movie, Owo Ale, in 2001, got married to her in June 8, 2002 and they had a daughter before they separated three years ago.
About 12 years ago, financially buoyant Dare was junketing between Lagos and the United States and his automobile business was booming. It was during one of his frequent trips that he met Lola, who was a favourite actress in Fortune, a popular soap on TV. In 2009, Dare, who had been away from Lola for sometime got wind of her plans to dump him and marry her then Austria-based lover, Abbey Adeboro and that got him miffed, revealed a lot of messy details on how they met, hurried into marriage and finally threatened a DNA test to confirm his paternity of their only daughter. Lola’s planned marriage never held.
But Lola in an interview recently still lauded Dare, she believed he painted black because he was hurt and if there is reincarnation she would prefer to marry him again
