A few weeks ago, a baby girl, Nmachi, was born with white skin, blue eyes and blonde hair by black Igbo Nigerian parents. According to Daily Mail, doctors at Queen Mary Hospital in Sidcup said that the baby was not an albino. The 44-year-old father of the baby,Ihegboro, and his wife, Angela, were stunned when they saw their new baby. Prior to the arrival of the white baby, the couple already had two black children. “We both just sat there after the birth, staring at her,” said Ihegboro, the father of the baby. In the same vein, his wife, Angela, said, “She is beautiful; she’s a miracle baby.” Ihegboro further said, “My wife is true to me. Even if she hadn’t been, the baby wouldn’t have looked like that!” According to a report, “Skin colour is believed to be determined by up to seven different genes working together. If a woman is of mixed race, her eggs will usually contain a mixture of genes coding for both black and white skin. Similarly, a man of mixed race will have a variety of different genes in his sperm. When these eggs and sperm come together, they will create a baby of mixed race. “But, very occasionally, the egg or sperm might contain genes coding for one skin colour. If both the egg and sperm contain all white genes, the baby will be white. And if both contain just the versions necessary for black skin, the baby will be black.” So, how a black couple could have a white baby is still generating a lot of controversies and argument among Nigerians. It is on this note that News Star went to town to seek people’s opinions on this strange development. Their views are shocking and interesting. If the woman slept with another man, then the baby should be half caste. No half caste can have blue eyes and blond hair. The baby's skin colour is that of a 100% European. I think it is a genetic abnormality. Only God knows what happpened to the gene of the parents at the time of conception. Let them trace their linaege, there may have been extremely fair skinned people in their family line and both genes merged to produce oyibo. Otherwise, this is a sign that end time is near. The woman doesnt look that young. Was the baby conceived naturally or through an artificial method? Maybe the doctor has taken the sperm and egg of Europeans and planted in the woman's womb. It's quiet clear the baby is not a halfcaste, so the question of the woman cheating on her husband is totally ruled out. If that baby is not an Albino then there is another explanation for her being white. From the pics, we all can see that the woman here in question is not at all a very young lady, guess the couple went for a test tube baby before implanting it into the womb of the woman,cos as an african woman, the belly must be big to show others, but the method of conceiving that child will never be made known to the public. sure thats where all these mix-up is from.
