The Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) released a star-studded promotional video to promote the festival and its theme “Africa Unites”.

The video features guest appearances by Jude Idada (Screenwriter/Producer), Rita Dominic (Nollywood actress), D’banj (MTV award winning musician), Daryl Hannah (Hollywood actress), Hon. Marcus Nle-Ejii (Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Rivers State, Nigeria), Giancarlo Esposito (Hollywood Actor/Director), Celine Loader (AFRIFF Communications Consultant), Peace Anyiam-Osigwe (Founder of African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) and AFRIFF), Pras Michel (Rapper (Fugees) and Producer), Jackie Appiah (Ghanaian actress), Joseph Hundah (MD Multichoice Nigeria), Seun Kuti (musician) and Kene Mkparu (MD/CEO The Filmhouse).

Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) is a world class indigenous film festival to be celebrated annually in Port Harcourt, Rivers State Nigeria starting December 2010.

AFRIFF’s Call for Entries was announced in Africa (Bayelsa State, Nigeria), Asia (Pakistan), and Europe (Cannes Film Festival). It has also been covered by national and international media including the influential Hollywood Reporter with a special focus on AFRIFF in its Cannes Daily Edition. The anticipation builds up as AFRIFF promises to be a spectacular pan-African event.

The Garden City of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria will play host to this 4-day festival starting on the 1st of December 2010. It will be a gathering for local and international filmmakers, celebrities, actors, directors, film buyers, distributors, visual artists, film students, amateurs, film lovers and the media to celebrate Africa’s motion picture achievements.

The call for entries is open until the 13th of August 2010.

The categories in competition include Feature, Short, Documentary and Animation.

MY BEST NOLLYWOOD ACTRESS WHO IS RITA DOMINIC WAS ANOUNCED DEATH IN THE RUPUBLIC OF THE GAMBIA I WAS SO SUCK WHEN I HAD THE NEWS BUT I DOUBTED IT AND I LATER WENT TO THE NOLLYWOOD WEBSITE TO CONFIRM THE GOOD WAS SHE IS ALIVE AND SHE HAS EVEN BEEN NOMINATED TO PATICIPATE IN DECEMBER \//////////////////////////////////////////
