I am Caribbean and have no loyalties to any set… but please believe me when I say that any negatives opinions that anyone may bear could not have sprung for this one supposed act. Here we do not make the distinction between Ghanaian and Nigerian movies ; there are all considered African movies. The hype of “African movies” in my area is not because of which set produces the best actors.

I always gave these movies and actors a hard time until I watched “Princess Tyra”. Right now my favorites are Majid, Genevieve and Jackie. By watching Jackie's movies I happened upon Majid. Until “Silent Scandal” I had never watched a movie with Genevieve; now I can't get enough her and I can't wait to see her and Majid grace the screen together again. Nigerian and Ghanaian actors/actresses complement each other quite well in these movies. Their performances have viewers at the edge of their seats and begging for more at the end of each one. Fans single out their favorite actors and try to treat themselves to all their films and in the process they are exposed to more African actors. These movies force people to acknowledge that there are some positive movements coming out of that region.

I don't know if he lied or not. I am from adifferent culture and chances are I may never understand this “beef”. Honestly I don't see why this is such a big issue… Even if he did lie why is an apology necessary? That would mean that a lot of individuals/celebrities (who have done by far worst) would have to apologies for tons of slip-ups they make on a daily basis.

When I read the article my first thought was not anything negative toward Nigerians it was “Geeeeeez, how long do I have to wait for his next movie”. Anyway I will continue to indulge in my little treat called African Movie (primarily Majid's) until he resurfaces. A lot of you cannot admit it now because the blinders of hatred are on, but the guy is a pretty gripping entertainer… very addictive.
