Veteran actress Hilda Dokubo has decried the hazardous effect soot has on the health of the people living in Rivers state.
The actress took to her Instagram page to call on the government at all levels and security officials to look into the situation.
She posted a video and wrote: “If nothing is done ASAP a respiratory disease epidemic is imminent.

Soot is a deep black powdery or flaky substance consisting largely of amorphous carbon, produced by the incomplete burning of organic matter. It is a major environmental problem.
This is predominant in Rivers state because officials of the Joint Task Force are reportedly burning illegal refineries in the state.
