The lawmaker representing the Kogi West Senate District in the National Assembly, Senator Dino Melaye was on Thursday May 3,2018, denied bail by a Senior Magistrate Court 2, Lokoja, Kogi State and will be remanded in custody of the Nigerian Police Force till June 11, 2018.

This followed his charge of charging a firearm by the police in Lokoja, the capital of Kogi State. Earlier this week, the beleaguered senator survived a recall process allegedly brought against him by state government officials.

Senator Melaye was sentenced to provisional detention by a magistrate’s court in Lokoja, Kogi State.
