Aminu, son of Governor Sule Lamido of Jigawa State was on Wednesday arrested at the Kano International Airport by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Cash totaling about $ 400,000 was found in his possession, meanwhile he had declared to the Customs Service that he had only about $ 10,000 on him. He was on his way to Cairo when he was apprehended around midnight on Wednesday.
The EFCC has disclosed that Aminu would be charged to court by Monday for money laundering. The question on everybody’s lips is why Monday? Why not tomorrow?
