It no more news that Gambia is going through a though time after their former President, Yahya Jammeh who ruled for 22 years has bluntly refused to step down.

Since the emergence of a new president in Gambia, the president elect, Adama Barrow has been deprived his right as Yahya Jammeh refused to leave.

Despite the deadline given to the Yahya by ECOWAS to step down expired yesterday, 18th of January 2017, its obvious he had damned all consequences and fully ready for war.

Now let’s take you back to 2016 when it was all rosy, Yahyah Jammeh wanted a relationship between Nollywood and Gambia, an avenue to bring Gambian actors to lime light since Nollywood was already on the foreign market.

To achieve this, he invited some notable Nigerian actors to his country where he gifted them lands as appreciation to their contribution in the movie industry.

Among the beneficiary of his benevolence deeds are: Segun Arinze, Patience Ozokwor, Chinedu Ikedieze, Osita Iheme, Eucharia Anunobi, Tony Umez, Ngozi Ezeonu, Kanayo O. Kanayo, Francis Duru, Monalisa Chinda, Harry B. Anyanwu, Chika Okpala, Rukiat Masud and Ghanaian movie star Jackie Appiah, Francis Duru.

Since the Brouhaha taking place in Gambia, no words have been heard from these celebrities that were once honored by Yahya Jammeh.

Couldn’t these also mean they are against him also? Couldn’t this also mean they turned their back?

It’s also most likely that they would lose the assets given to them when the new government eventually comes to power who might consider those gifts as a waste of the country’s resources.

Hmm Naija I hail ooo…when its rosy you are there and when it’s difficult, Off you go.
