One of Nigeria’s renowned stand-up comedian, Julius Babatunde Akinlami also known as Elenu, is not a new name when it comes to Nigeria comedy. Here are some facts you didn’t know about the hilarious comedian.

1 Elenu, born on May 23rd is a graduate of Computer science at the University Of Benin.

2 He started stand up comedy professionally in 2006 after winning the third edition of AY’s Open Mic challenge.

3 In 2011, he was regarded as the official comedian for Governor Godswill Akpabio after he won the heart of the Governor with his performance at the Gala night of Godswill Akpabio scrabble classic.

4 Elenu got his first awards, Modemen and Dynamix Awards in 2012.

5 His mentor in the Industry is AY Makun.

6 The veteran comedian and his long-time sweetheart, Chinwe Anyanwu got married on the 15th June, 2013 at the Global Impact Church, Surulere, Lagos.

7 The duo on Friday, February 28, 2014 welcomed their first child at San Ramon Regional Medical Centre in California, USA.
