Afro beat king, Femi Anikulapo Kuti, who took ill recently has recovered fully and is back at the New Afrika Shrine. learnt that Soki as he is popularly called, stormed the shrine last Thursday and rehearsed with his band, The Positive Force Band

Investigations revealed that Femi, who was advised by his doctors to take a two-month bed rest, will not be playing the weekly Sunday Jump until he is fully recovered.

Apart from the rehearsal, learnt that by next month, the son of the afro beat legend will embark on a tour of Europe and the United States of America.

Speaking with, Yeni Kuti, Fela’s eldest daughter said “as you can see, Soki has returned to the shrine for rehearsals but he will not play any major show for now but will travel abroad for shows because of commitments.”

Femi Kuti was admitted last month at a private hospital in Lagos. He was said to be suffering from a stress-related ailment which was traced to his busy schedule last year, both at home and abroad.
