Charles Nnamani, a security guard with a renowned Lagos hotel lost his leg to a suspected drunken customer while on duty in Ajao Estate Lagos.

The customer who was driving out of the hotel in his SUV hit Nnamani who sustained a very critical injury.

He was admitted in a hospital where his leg was amputated so as to rescue his life.

The reckless driver has been arraigned before Isolo Magistrate court and has been charged with reckless driving without care to other road users.

According to police report, Chukwu drove his Pathfinder SUV with registration number, EKY 727 BX and hit Nnamani which caused him grievous harm leading to his leg been amputated.

The accused pleaded not guilty on the grounds that he did not do it on purpose and he has been taking care of the victims hospital bills.

The presiding Magistrate, Mrs A.O Adedayo granted him bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.

He was remanded in prison custody at Kirikiri pending when he will perfect his bail.

The matter was adjourned till 2 November 2016 for hearing.
