Late fela Anikulapo Ransom Kuti was not just the king of Afrobeat he was an anti-government individual and also an activist.

The late legend will forever be remembered and to his respect, Felebration was born. It became a yearly event that gathers top entertainers and lovers of music and the legacies of the late legend.

On what appears like following his father footstep, his son Seun Kuti has been involved in campaigning against the government several times.

He has been an Anti-government and had often called out the government and some notable politicians on social media.

This has got us wandering if Seun Kuti who is also an Afrobeat singer like his father is trying to continue from he stopped before his demise?

During the Era of Fela, he had been locked up and tortured for speaking against the government severally, but in our Era where we have freedom of speech, everything has taken a new turn.

In a recent post, Femi had attacked the government again as an activist speaking for the right of Nigerians for government to invest in tertiary education.

In his words: “when Dangote was looking for 7 billion dollars to build his refinery, did he protest before the government of Buhari ordered the banks to create a consortium to fund him? How many times have students been protesting? Has government ever ordered the banks to raise the money needed to educate us? Dangote can use our money in the banks to elevate himself but the same banks can’t use our money to invest in the education of our children? 7 billion dollars investment into our education is a better investment than in Dangote’s refinery.”
