Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk, Nigerian recording artist and performer popularly known as Iyanya has shun those who try to compare him with Tekno.
Teckno popularity has greatly increased since he left his former label to Mavins as a result, some people tried comparing him with Tekno.
Iyanya did not take this comparison lightly as he described it as ‘dumb’.
According to him,’ Anyone who compares me with Tekno does not even know what he or she is saying. How can you compare me with him? He is a blessed boy, he is doing well and he worked hard for it. Before he started making hit songs, he had been working quietly for a while. I have always called him the ‘golden boy’ and I am so proud of him’
For Iyanya to have addressed Tekno as boy, it means that he sees himself as a father figure to him and they are both not on the same career page, he has gone higher than him.
