Just as pessimists of the Muhammadu Buhari’s government are crying to the high heaven over its intention to spend another $1billion on the fight against insurgency, chief of which is that of the battle with Boko Hartam in the North East, the Nigerian Army has released a statement that one of the kidnapped Chibok girls has been released.

Premium Times says the Army gave the name of the new released lass as Salomi Pagu.

It would be recounted that a few years ago, precisely in April 2014 over 200 girls were kidnapped from the secondary school in Chibok, Borno State.

Of that figure, quite a number of them have so far gained their freedom and are back in Nigeria.

But despite the gladden news of Salomi’s rescue about 100 girls are still believed to be with terror group, not knowing their fate till date.
