Five new Directors-General of agencies in the Ministry of Health has been appointed by President Mohammadu Buhari.

This was made known by the President’s Personal Assistant on New Media, Bashir Ahmad on Friday on his twitter handle, @BashirAhmaad  which read, “have already taken effect.”

He listed the agencies with new heads to include: Centre for Disease Control, CDC, and National Agency for the Control of Aids, NACA, the Nigerian Institute for Medical Research, NIMR.

Others include, the National Primary Health Care Development Agency, NPHCDA, and the National Health Insurance Scheme, NHIS.

Bashir gave the names of the new appointees and the institutions they head as: “NIMR – Prof Babatunde Salami, NACA – Dr Sani Aliyu, NHIS – Prof Usman Yusuf, NPHCDA – Prof Echezona Ezeanolue, and Dr Chikwe Andreas Ihekweazu for CDC.”
