The formal validity of JAMB results was one year but the Legislative chamber has on Thursday amended the bill and extended its lifespan to three years.

The chairman of the senate committee on tertiary education and the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) Jibrin Barau, who presented the report said that the amendments would further strengthen the admission board in its responsibilities.

The Senate President Bukola Saraki lauded  his colleagues in the passage of the bill as he said that the new amendment will help to solve a lot of financial cost to both students and parents. It will also help to curb reduce bottlenecks and corruption in the admission process.
