An undergraduate ,University of Lagos, Akoka, Who is identified as Adetokunbo,has alleged that some operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Lagos State Police Command,attacked him and robbed him of his school fees in the Okota area of the state.

Adetokunbo who is a 200-level student of Philosophy said in an interview yesterday that the four policemen had accused him of being an Internet fraudster because they saw him with an iPhone

He however added that the Policemen also arrested two other suspects.The victim said the men later took the two other suspects to an Automated Teller Machine, where they were forcefully asked to withdraw N100,000 each before they were dropped off at the Oworonshoki area of Lagos

He also said he was dropped off at the Third Maryland Bridge after they snatched his school fees from him amounting to 70,000

The victim expressed grief,explaining that he was not pained by the torture, but the fact that he would have to defer his admission as to raise the money again would be difficult. “I am a clothier, but I am also undergoing part time studies at UNILAG. I am in 200 level. To raise part of my school fees, which was already due, I had to sell some of my property"he said.

Talking about his bitter experience,he said They put him in handcuffs and threw him inside their car.they beat him slapped him from different sides.They men further went on to ask who his father was that made him use an iPhone.

The victim said he observed there were two other men in the car, also added that he gathered that they had just obtained their visas with a plan to travel abroad when they were arrested.The two men,who were also accused of being Internet fraudsters,were thoroughly searched by the officials and their ATM cards seized.

He said the operatives, who had police-crested guns and handcuffs,forcefully tore his shorts while attempting to search his back pocket where he had his wallet.

It has been gathered that the police authorities has contacted Adetokunbo,inviting him for a meeting.

The Lagos state Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Olarinde Famous-Cole has said the police has started looking into the case.
