Fuji music star, King Sulaimon Alao Adekunle, fondly called 'Malaika', has hammered on the need for artistes in Nigeria to take a cue from the legacy of late Afrobeat legend, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, if they aim to be celebrated after death like him (Fela).
The self-acclaimed ‘Imekun of Fuji’ made this known recently during his sterling performance at the 2015 Felabration held in Lagos.
"Everyone should take a cue from the late Fela as far as you are a musician in Nigeria. Years after Fela’s death, people still celebrate him in a great deal. It shows that his intentions while alive were positive", Malaika said.
