After his masterpiece delivery in Izu Chukwu’s  historical fiction drama ’76, and the subsequent rave reviews that have followed, Ramsey Tokunbo Nouah has invariably made a strong case for global recognition, particularly for a place among the stars of world film capital, Hollywood.

Athough he has already made a name for himself in other local and international efforts, notably for his role in Kunle Afolayan’s Figurine, Ramsey Nouah’s performance in ’76 is his strongest count in the inevitable case for Hollywood. Since then the glowing reviews have been pouring in. Notably,The Hollywood Reporter had this to say about him: “Nouah gives a rock-solid lead performance, radiating calm authority and moral unease without a flicker of histrionics.”

Dubbed by the Toronto International Film Festival, TIFF, as a political drama  which is mostly “successful in Introducing Nollywood Cinema To A Western Audience’, the historical account in ‘76 went through a seven-month approval period at the Nigerian Military before filming started. But despite the long wait for approval and a few technical glitches in production, Ramsey Nouah’s performance helped to a large extent in drawing attention away from technical and low-budget issues to the story itself.

Released barely a month ago, the movie already got 14 nominations in the 2017 AMVCA, with Ramsey Nouah in pole position for Best Actor, Lead Role.

With excellent portrayal of Captain Dewa, Ramsey’s greatest ambition of being counted as a key player in the motion picture industry as well as be a cut above the rest even on the world stage, is only a  matter of time, and that soon.

Celebs Police believes Ramsey has what it takes to put homegrown Nigerian talent on the Hollywood map permanently.
