Popular Nollywood actress, Uche Jombo, has reacted to comments made a top Nigerian filmmaker, Kunle Afolayan, raining curses on pirates, who he said are predominantly of the Igbo extraction. Afolayan vented his anger on the Igbos after the Oba of Lagos was accused of threatening those from the South-East Nigeria with death if they refuse to vote for ‘his candidate’ at the governorship election in Lagos State on Saturday, Akinwunmi Ambode of the All Progressives Congress (APC). In her reaction, Uche Jombo, wife of Kenney Rodriguez, expressed shock at the action of her respected colleague. She said, "Interesting to see anyone in Nollywood insult Igbos about piracy since without them we might not even have Nollywood of today. Piracy is not a tribal thing. "Every film maker is sad about piracy. It is a war we should all fight and hope to win one day. Accept what you cannot change. Change what you cannot accept." © 2015 Nigeriafilms.com.
