Nollywood movie producer, Tony Goodman, in a recent chat with newsmen in Abuja, has disclosed that the Nigerian movie industry should not be a place where practitioners continue to chunk out what they like to the viewers. According to Tony, producers no longer meet up with standards but are ready to compete with each other on whose movie will come out first just for the sake of the money and not quality. He stressed that anyone who does not meet up with the requirement of becoming a producer should not be allowed to produce movies. If there is control, the quality of our films in terms of content and depth will be enhanced,” he said.
