He spoke after the unveiling of the Jay- Jay Okocha Foundation in Lagos. “I know before you count three coaches in Nigeria, you sure would count me, but I am not interested. I need to take some time off, hone my skills and come back in a bigger way. That’s my immediate plan,” Eguavoen said.

He called on Nigerians to support any coach given to Super Eagles “As for me, I would be fine with whoever the NFF settles for, but they should be fast about it because the World Cup qualifiers are fast approaching and we are in a very strong group.” He was however, confident the Eagles will do well if they start strongly. “If we start well, perhaps with a win or a draw in Zambia, we can qualify,” he said.
