‘Ayinla’ is directed by Ace moviemaker, Tunde Kelani and it’s his latest movie since his 2015 blockbuster, ‘Dazzling Mirage’.

The movie was produced by Jade Osiberu, maker of box office hits “Sugar Rush” and “Isoken“.

“Àyìnlá” features some of Nollywood’s finest stars including Adedimeji Lateef who plays the role of Ayinla Omowura, Kunle Afolayan, Bimbo Ademoye, Mr Macaroni, Omowunmi Dada, Ade Laoye, Jumoke Otedola and Bimbo Manuel.

Ayinla is a musical biopic based on the life of Ayinla Yusuf popularly known as Ayinla Omowura, an Apala musician who was stabbed to death by his manager named Bayewu in a bar fight on May 6, 1980 at Abeokuta.

The film project is set to be released on June 18, 2021.

On May 6, 1980, ÀYÌNLÁ, the undisputed King of his special brand of Apala music was killed in a beer parlour brawl in Abeokuta at the peak of his professional career but his legacy lives on!
