Indeed yesterday was a very big day for British-Nigerian actor, Chinwetel Ejiofor who featured in the film 12 years of slave, the actor has just bagged an award as he won Best Actor at the 2014 BAFTAs which held on Sunday, 16th February. He clinched the award for his role as Solomon Northup in Steve McQueen’s 12 Years a Slave. He won the award beating Tom Hanks, Leonardo DiCaprio, Christian Bale and Bruce Dern. Chinwetel thanked BAFTA for the “incredible” award and paid tribute to Steve McQueen’s artistry and passion.
