Well, it is now becoming a trend in the Nigerian entertainment industry especially in the Yoruba movie sector as some notable faces are beginning to convert to religion of their choice.

 

Converting from one religion to another especially from Christianity to Islam is not new in the country especially with female Nigerian celebrities who are of Christian background but never visited church auditorium for once.

The industry has seen the likes of Lizzy Anjorin, Fathia Williams Balogun, Dayo Amusa, Funke Etti, Laide Bakare, Moji Olaiya and the latest in the bloc is actress, Lola Alao.

The actress, who just buried her father over the weekend, surprised many of her fans when the news of her converting to Islam emerged.

An Islamic scholar, Yusuf Adepoju, who introduced her to the religion shared a congratulatory message.
