Uzodimma Iweala, one of our famous authors is living life to its fullness. When he is not writing, he is busy bonding with family. He had a lovely weekend when  his parents and grandparents visited in Washington D.C.

He gladly writes  “This weekend I had the opportunity to go home. #washingtondc is always amazing in the summertime, but even more so when your parents and grandparents (mom’s parents)are around, and when you realize that you’ve got a combined 300 years of wisdom sitting in the room with you. Both of my grandparents are academics.

My grandfather is still publishing books at age 88 (which means I’ve got a few more years of writing to go to match his output). So many stories. Oh yeah and my #hatgamestrong”

Uzodimma is the author of Beasts of No Nation, was the debut novel, which was his undergraduate written a little over 10 years ago, and published in 2005 to critical acclaims.
