Nollywood thespian, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has categorically stated the things that upcoming actors and filmmakers who seek stardom can do in order to survive the divorce saga that has bedeviled the entertainment industry.

She was one of the panelists at the Innovation Warehouse, a mentorship program for aspiring filmmakers and actors during the just concluded Africa International Film Festival in Lagos.

She shared very powerful insights to those who are in the entertainment industry but are worried to climb the ladder to stardom because of the fear that they may not see who to marry or their marriage may crash as seen happening presently in the industry.

“It’s better to be an enemy to a work partner than to your family,” she said as she advised them to get married to someone who shares the same faith, believes in you, a partner who  understands entertainment and who sees your inner heart, soul  and he/she is not afraid to tell you your faults.

She added that she does not believe in love at first sight.

“Discipline is key. Everyone wants freedom but too much freedom is bad. Be disciplined. It’s better to be an enemy to a work partner than to your family. Learn to say No!” she concluded.
