ALLI Baba, Basketmouth, Owen G are among the panelists for the second edition of the annual students forum in Lagos next month.

Basketmouth, in a chat with RMT, said he had considered the motive of the organisers and was convinced the project would be a success.

“It’s been long overdue that we had a student summit like the one planned by LOGO magazine, I am happy to be on the panel.

“I don’t expect the summit will be all comedy, I expect it to treat extensively the problems besetting Nigerian youths, and their future especially,” he said.

Slated for October 23, 2008 at the Main Auditorium, Lagos State University, Ojo, organiser’s decision to enlarge students participation in the event informed their decision to change forum’s name from Lagos Students Summit to Global Student’s Forum.

KoffiMr. Isaac Oladipupo, one of the organisers, said the need to prevent the bastardization of students summit was the reason they changed the name: “With time, you would begin to hear of this and that university students summit. We thought it would be special if we involve all Nigerian students in the event at a once a year summit.

“This move will further strengthen the unity that exists among Nigerian students. The support we have received from government and business officers, including Nigerian celebrities, has been very good. We look forward to a successful summit,” Isaac said.

Speakers at the summit include Olakunle Soriyan, Niyi Adesanya, Deolu Akinyemi, Steve Akoni, Chris Williams.

Others are Tara Fela-Durotoye, Funmi Iyanda, Ngozi Obi, Holly Mallam, Gordons, Koffi, Segun Dangote, Tade Aduloju and AY.
