Nigerian Nollywood actress Aisha Abimbola who was lost to death few days ago to breast cancer has been laid to rest by the Canadian Government on the late hours of 17th May.

The burial service was a small one and it was a very private one as it was only attended by friends and family.

She was buried according to the Muslim rights and laid to bed in a cemetery in Toronto, Canada at 2:30 pm (8:30 pm West African time).

Few available family and friends attended the ceremony including actress and close friend Lola Alao.

Yesterday her friend Lola Alao had warned Nigerian not to contribute any money of any kind to people requesting for funds to bury Abimbola saying they were scammers as the Canadian government will take charge of it.

In her words; “Late Aisha is a very private person and she’s been battling with the cancer for a while but she didn’t make it public. She’s a Canadian citizen and the government is taking care of the funeral so we are not seeking for funds from any one. Kindly disregard any message asking you to contribute anything towards her burial.” She wrote.
