Tinsel star Osas Ighodaro has launched a foundation, Joyful Joy foundation, to battle malaria, HIV/AIDS, and poverty in the country and has a very good reason for her actions
.
The actress was joined by the likes of Banky W, Elenu, Yomi of Yomi Casual, Seyi Shay, JJC and others to contribute their quota to eradicate the scourge of malaria in the country.

She told Saturday Beats that it was a personal decision to set up the NGO, that she lost her pregnant sister to malaria.

“At that time I didn’t know what it was. When we finally got hint of the disease. I made it a personal duty to fight against it in Nigeria and Africa as a whole’. she said

She said that as an actress, she deemed it fit to use the opportunity to make the foundation to push for a healthier and Malaria free Africa.

She added ” it is an alleviation strategy to positively impact communities, it also involves offering programs focused on health and wellness, ending hunger, preventing disease and providing economic development opportunities.”
