Growing up as a child with mixed parentage can really be hard to handle for children, a situation Mariah Carey knows a lot about as she has recently revealed that she has always suffered low self-esteem and still does even as she wish will be treated like every other normal person .

“I just feel like I am a regular human being and i deserve the same respect as anybody else. I have always had low self-esteem, and people do not recognize that” she said.

The sultry singer said as she grabbled with her self-esteem, music gave her a rout of her troubles“That is why music became such a big part of my life, because it helped me overcome those issues, Sometimes it is hard to let your guard down” she said.

Mariah Carey was born in Huntington, New York. Her father, Alfred Roy Carey, was of African American and Afro-Venezuelan descent, whiles her mother, Patricia (née Hickey), is of Irish descent.

She is regarded as one of the most prominent singers and songwriters of the 21st century. During a career spanning across 20 years, she has established her name as a vocal virtuoso, who has taken music to greater heights.
