The forgery case against Senate President Bukola Saraki and Ike Ekweremadu, deputy senate president, which was supposed to be heard on Monday, could not hold because the presiding Judge, Yusuf Hallilu was said to have gone on vacation.

When the two arrived the court for the hearing, they were informed that the Judge had gone for vacation but the trial will commence on September 28.

 Saraki and Ekweremadu are both standing trial for the alleged forgery of senate standing rules for their election, which led to their emergence as leaders of the senate.
