Family, friends and colleagues of David Imoh, a deceased sound engineer, gathered at Church of God Mission International in Victoria Island, on Thursday, June 2, to pay their last respects, it has emerged.
David Imoh was killed and burnt in an attack in Lekki area of Lagos on May 12, 2022 after a misunderstanding ensued over N100 balance with one of the commercial motorcyclists.
The song of service, which was organised by the church for the deceased, is part of the two-day funeral ceremony.
During the service, the late David Imoh was described as a diligent and committed person.
According to his biography which was read by a church member named Pamela Steven, Imoh was born in 1984, and the last born of 9 siblings.
David Imoh studied sound production and also worked as an event manager. Additionally, he worked with Real-time festival, the Experience, Legacy 360 band and many others.
According to the wife of the deceased, Bolu Imoh, her husband lived a short but impactful life attributing his life to that of Jesus.
She also urged the church to receive Christ into their life, stressing that she is sure that her husband wasn’t done with his assignment on earth.
Meanwhile, his boss, Stanley Ohikhuare, described him as one who strived toward perfection and was selfless.
He never said no to me. What pains me the most about David’s death is that he was like 50 people in one. He was an asset.
The deceased is survived by his wife, two children, mother and relatives.
