The world football governing body FIFA has taken a positive step to help Africa countries that will be participating in the prestigious tournament in Russia come June 2018.

FIFA has given the Nigerian football federation (NFF) a sum of $2million which is equivalent to a sum of N719, 000, 000 to pay players bonuses before the commencement of the tournament.

This sum of money has been given to all the African teams that will be participating in the tournament. The money is just an upfront payment of what they will be getting during the World Cup.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) says the agreement for Egypt, Morocco, Nigeria, Senegal and Tunisia will help “settle beforehand the question of bonuses.”

The 32 federations sending teams to the World Cup get $1.5m each from FIFA to prepare, plus at least $8m in prize money after the tournament.

The winner gets $38m.

Recall that in the last world cup Tournament in 2014, the Super Eagles team refused to train because of unpaid bonuses and this lead to their elimination.

FIFA is set to stop these ill behaviors from teams and country as he wants a successful and enjoyable outing for all the competing teams.
