Popular Nigerian actress, Iyabo Ojo recently stood up to her fans as she admonished them for constantly begging her for money.

In a video sighted on social media, the mother of two mentioned that people do not have the right to ask her for money simply because they are her “fans.”

According to Ojo, people do not know the story behind her success and they would never know.

The actress explained that she had to work while she was still schooling to make ends meet as she berated those who take up different responsibilities despite the fact that they are not financially capable.

The actress mentioned that she has people under her care already and everyone should go out and hustle.

Iyabo Ojo was born as Alice Iyabo Ogunro on 21 December 1977 in Lagos, Nigeria, although her father was from Abeokuta, Ogun State. She was the youngest of three children, having two older brothers. She went to school in Lagos at National College, Gbagbada, before proceeding to study Estate Management at Lagos State Polytechnic.

Marrying a Lagos-based movie marketer in 1999, when she was 21, Iyabo took a break from pursuing her career. She gave birth to a son and then a daughter (born in 1999 and 2001 respectively), namely Felix Ojo and Priscilla Ajoke Ojo, but is now divorced from their father. She has attributed the breakup of her first marriage to marrying too young. She has spoken of her intention to stop using her former husband’s surname, Ojo.

On 31 August 2020, she celebrated her mother’s birthday with beautiful photo shoot which she displayed them on social media.
