Floral is one of the fashion trends that ruled the world of fashion last year. This season fashion floral have emerged bigger, brighter and bolder, an indication that 2009 should be a year of optimism, boldness and feminity. Bold floral prints have made a huge comeback, making it a cheery and fitting look for the season. Everywhere you look, there are lush painterly flowers on shoes, bags, belts, dresses, skirts, shirts and so on.

Here’s how to wear flowers to look fresh and elegant
To wear this hippie look, choose flowers that compliment your frame. If you are five feet tall, petite and slender, a large, gaudy floral print will overwhelm your small frame. Look for a smaller, more delicate flower print to compliment your build. If you’re tall and slender, you can get away with the bold, splashy floral prints and graphics that are so popular this season. If you’re carrying a few extra pounds, you’ll want to stay away from bold flower prints in bright colors since they can emphasize your size. Opt for a smaller, simpler flower print instead.

Use flowers to accentuate your better half
If you tend to carry your weight in your hips and thighs, use the power of flowers to make your thighs look thinner. Pair a vibrant floral top with a pair of dark pants or a dark skirt to hide a few inches on the hips. The bright floral pattern will pull the eye upward and away from your hips while the dark pants will slim your lower half.

Wear flowers to call attention to your best features
If you have a pretty face and want to call attention to it, a floral scarf worn at the neck or a flowered top will draw attention to your face. Is your hair one of your better features? Call attention to that fact by wearing a silk flower hair clip or a floral headband. If you have perfectly manicured hands, add some pretty floral bracelets or rings with a flower motif to draw the eye towards your hands.

Look fresh and modern in a floral print dress
To make your look more fashionable and even a bit sexy, choose a more form fitting dress or a slightly shorter length. Select a pair of open toed sandals to add additional style. Accessories should be kept small and simple to keep the look from being overwhelming.
