Like they say, ‘it takes a while to build a reputation, but it only takes a second to crumble it if care is not taken.’ This illustration might eventually work for popular and controversial Yoruba actress, Funke Adesiyan if care is not taken with the situation she has found herself in at the moment.

This is because the light-skinned tribal-marked actress is presently battling to save her career from crumbling like a glass because of an alleged N80,000 debt mess she in embroiled in.

Few days ago, there were reports that she is owing a Lagos-based estate agent the sum of N80,000 for helping her get a rented apartment in Lekki area of the state.

The news hit her in the wrong place that we heard she is running helter skelter trying to nip the crisis in the bud. In the earlier report, she denied owing the man but claimed that the man was only trying to dent her image after she refused to employ the estate agent as her gateman after she got the said house.

A source who claimed to be in the know of the dealings told Nigeriafilms.com that Funke allegedly refused to pay the man the said amount even after her ‘lover’ promised to offset the bill.

Nigeriafilms.com called Funke to get her side of the story, but our conversation with her wasn’t clear and she advised we send her an SMS.

As the call dropped, we immediately sent the text message to her on Monday, August 5, 2013 at 2:51pm, but as at Thursday, August 8, 2013, she was yet to reply our message. We made another call on Thursday evening, this time, a lady, who claimed to be her PA, spoke to us and said Funke was on set. We insisted on speaking with the actress and reminding her of the SMS we sent to her on Monday. Her PA promised to tell her about our call and get back to us. But as at the time of writing this story, 9:03 am on Friday, we were yet to hear from the actress.
