Kenyan singer, Victoria Kimani caught the attention of Chocolate City executives after her remake of Ice Prince’s “Oleku”. The Nigerian record label was on the verge of opening a branch in Kenya when she caught its attention and Kimani became the first act to be signed on to Chocolate City Kenya.

This sexy diva has come out to speak soft on why she left singing for God, to hop into the hip-hop world, stating that she wants to have the feel of people judging her on what she does and what she wears.

‘It’s different, because when you are singing for the lord, you don’t really have people judging you saying what’s she wearing and all that kind if talks. But when you are an entertainer, it becomes a totally different feeling.’

The artiste added that despite her love for criticism, she still try’s to be modest with her dressing so as not to create a bad image for herself and her family.

‘As long as I am conservative and properly dressed, it’s fine with my parents. They won’t want reports from members of their church saying we saw your daughter on television and she was scantily dressed. And even when they try to complain about my outfits, I just show them a picture of Lady Gaga or Nicki Minaj and I’ll be like mum, ‘am not that bad, see what these people are wearing.’

Born in Los Angeles, United States of America, Kimani grew up in Benin City, Nigeria, and has just released her new mix tape tilted “Queen Victoria” with collabos from various top Nigerian artistes.
