TATOOING is seen as a kind of body modification, very common in African and American countries. Today, people now use tattoo as a permanent make up for them to look more beautiful and different from others.

In the past, most Nigerians frowned at the idea of having a tattoo, because it was used for identification of both human and animals. But now, local exposure through the media has made people to it as an addition to beauty rather than seeing it as a satanic and ocultic display.
