Former Super Eagles players such as Taribo West, Jay Jay Okocha, Victor Ikpeba, and Kanu Nwankwo have received knocks for endorsing the 2023 presidential ambition of Bola Tinubu.

Onetime presidential aspirant, Omoyole Sowore slammed the ex-internationals for their action describing them as being hungry, as they get set to play a novelty match to mark the All Progressives Congress, (APC), national leader’s 70th birthday.

Former Super Eagles defender, Taribo West was filmed praying fervently for former Lagos governor, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu on Saturday, March 19.

Other former footballers like Okocha, Kanu, Ikpeba were also present as Tinubu welcomed the footballers to his Ikoyi home.

Reacting to the development, Sowore, took to his Instagram page on Sunday, March 20, and shared a video of the meeting, saying ‘hunger has betrayed the former Super Eagles players’

He wrote;

Like Judas Iscariot, Hunger is a bastard! Hunger has betrayed Taribo West and his fellow ex-Super Eagles con men. It is just so sad! That a group of patriots could be moving from one derelict political thief to another just to get peanuts and crumbs. It is a shame!
