A new film titled ‘Ake’ is set to hit the cinemas soon, but not until 2014 when it would be premiered. The movie is going to be an adaptation of Wole Soyinka’s novel ‘Ake’, which narrates his childhood life as an Ogun State-born boy.

The producers of the film recently took its adult casts to the Nobel Laurent winner’s place in Lagos for a familiarisation visit. The cast and crew include Taiwo Ajayi-Lycett, Akin Lewis, Dapo Adeniyi, Ben Tomoloju, Yeni Kuti, Jimi Solanke and some others.

According to information gathered by Nigeriafilms.com, the film will be used to mark Nigeria’s Centenary celebrations and Wole Soyinka’s 80 years birthday both in 2014.
