The senior special assistant to the president on media and publicity, Garba Shehu, has said that every single life of anyone in Nigeria is of high importance to the government.

He said this owing the recent attacks by suspected herdsmen and the spate of criminal acts by militants.
People from various quarters have criticized the neglect of the government to series of attacks in parts of the country.

The BringBackOurGirls group has also expressed displeasure on the manner the government is going about the rescue of the Chibok girls.

The leader of the group, Oby Ezekwesili, a former minister of education reminded President Mohammadu Buhari of his “pledge to give justice of rescue to the Chibok girls”.

Commenting on the delay in constituting a body to give support to those rescued from Boko Haram captivity, Yesufu added: “If the govt isn’t lackadaisical, why hasn’t the committee commenced work since 14 January 2016, six months after?”

Shehu who reacted to these criticism wrote on his face book page n Tuesday “The life of every single Nigerian matters to this government and the security agencies, under the command of President Buhari, will continue to exert all its powers to ensure that every Nigerian is safe from the brutality of terrorists and terrorism.”
