Nollywood actress Etinosa Idemudia has come out to once again call out couples who bring their marital issues to social media. Etinosa Idemudia pointed out that she recently chided couples who take their marital issues to social media.

She had written on Instagram, “Except there are life-threatening circumstances and the public can actually save your life, it’s best not to bring it to social media.”

In a recent interview she said, “I saw a couple posting intimate videos and pictures on social media, and I suddenly remembered when the woman was disgracing her husband and spilling their family secrets (online). That led me to share my thoughts.”

The Edo State indigene also stated that she started creating comedy skits because she likes making people happy. She said, “I just found myself doing skits. It is something I cannot stop. I love making people happy and telling funny creative stories. Fortunately, it comes to my head easily and naturally.

Personal life

Etinosa Idemudia is an actress, producer, engineer, filmmaker who was born on March 9, in Warri, Delta state to Sylvester Idemudia, a retired group manager of Greenfield Refineries (NNPC Group), and Patricia Idemudia, a reverend and founder of Victory Group schools.

Education

Etinosa began her primary education at Victory International School, Warri, and had her secondary education at Cambridge International School, Warri and Igbinedion Education Centre, Benin, Edo State.

After her secondary education, she proceeded to Covenant University where she bagged a degree in Computer Engineering. She also obtained a diploma in Performing Arts from the Royal Art Academy, Lagos.

Etinosa got married at the age of 22 but suffered from domestic violence in her marriage. She revealed in an interview with Broadway TV that comedy was an escape route for her after years of being tortured by her husband.

Career

In 2013, upon discovering Instagram Videos, Etinosa began producing comedy skits, which she shared on the social media platform. The skits enjoyed rave reviews, bringing her relative success in the Nigerian entertainment industry, which culminated in her winning the award for Best Online Comic Act at the 2016 Scream Awards.

In 2016, Etinosa enrolled at the Royal Arts Academy, Lagos, Nigeria, where she obtained a Diploma in Performing Arts, after which she quit her engineering job to pursue a full-time career in entertainment.

Her first movie role was a minor cameo appearance in ‘A Little White Lie’ produced by Emem-Isong in 2016. Etinosa rose to prominence for her role as Amanda in the sitcom “Chairman”. Since then, she has gone on to feature in a number of notable Nollywood movies and television series including Alter Ego, Chairman, Corpershun, and Love in the Wrong Places. In 2017, she won the award for Best Actress at the 48 Hours Film Project for her performance in the short film Scheme

In 2018, she began producing her first feature film, The Washerman, which features several notable Nigerian entertainers and Nollywood actors including Sound Sultan, Ik Ogbonna, Mofe Duncan, Chris Okagbue, Jaywon, Sani Danja, Bryan Okwara, Frank Donga, Judith Audu, Sexy Steel, Stephen Damian, Mercy Isoyip and Etinosa herself. The release of the trailer for the movie built up massive anticipation for the release of the movie scheduled for the Summer of 2018.
