Media personality, Toke Makinwa, has reacted to the lawsuit against her from her estranged husband, Maje Ayida, over her book ‘On Becoming’.
Toke took to her Instagram to calm her fans’ nerves about the situation with a photo of herself stepping off a plane in Ghana with the caption: “The Lord shall fight for you, and you shall hold your peace”.
This follows revelations that Maje hired lawyers to stop the sales and promotion of her memoir ‘On Becoming’.
Ayida’s legal representatives have sent Toke Makinwa a “letter of demand” to stop all forms of promotional activities and also the sales of the book.
To make it clear that she has no plan to honour the ‘letter of demand’, Toke resumed promotion of the book on her gram, as she posted a flyer with the caption, “You can purchase your On Becoming from all the various bookstores in the flyer,”
In Toke Makinwa’s memoirs, Maje Ayida was said to have given her an STD. She also claimed that the Maje was a serial cheat and an adulterer.
