Troll arrested for wishing Toyin Abraham’s son dead

A user, identified simply as @Yarlo has been arrested for wishing the son of Nollywood actress, Toyin Abraham, dead.

The development has divided the internet with some supporting the troll while others are supporting the actress.

Following the thespian’s support for President Bola Tinubu during the 2023 general election, @Yarlo told Abraham, “Your son go kpai (die) soon.”

In response, the filmmaker promised to use him as a scapegoat, to which the user replied, “Use me as the first scapegoat.”

On Monday, news emerged from another user, @Reedah, who claimed to be close to @Yarlo, that he has been picked up by men of the Lagos State Police Command.

“Hello I’m Reedah and Yarlo is my friend. Heard from his mother that he was arrested 4 days ago. I heard that the police came from Lagos to arrest him for cyber bullying Toyin Abraham. Pls any help you can render will deeply appreciate you,” she wrote.

Defending Abraham’s action, her spokesperson said, “It is not an abuse of power; it’s a fight against cyberbullying.

“Everyone must understand that actions have consequences, especially online.”
