Filled with dreams and aspirations of becoming one of Nigeria’s biggest musical exports around the globe, up and coming singer, Emmy 2 (born Emmanuel Adah Ameh) has always remained persistent in achieving his goals.

Interestingly, Emmy 2 also considers his female fans a vital part of his musical journey and holds the belief that once the girls love you, the battle is half won.

In this interview, Emmy 2 also revealed his passion for committing himself a 100 per cent to matters of the heart, especially when love is involved.

Asked if his love could go as far as seeing him wash his girlfriend’s underwear, he responded in the affirmative. “Washing my girlfriend’s underwear is not a big deal,” he affirmed.

Presently, in his early 20s, Emmy 2 started music as a young boy and hopes to hit stardom as soon as his album, ‘Lifetime’ is released.
Born in Okpowu Local Government of Benue State, he attended Government Secondary School in Benue State but grew up in Abuja before he eventually relocated to Lagos State with his parents and siblings.

He told us that in 2006, he decided to pursue a career in music, though his parents were clearly not in support. “My dad loves music but he didn’t fancy the idea of watching his son become a musician.”

Talking about his love for music and what inspired him, he said music is one thing that I can’t live without. “My kind of music is Afro Hip Hop and R n B. My music is like a prophecy. It passes messages but it isn’t gospel.

He further revealed that he is presently working on his first album titled: ‘Lifetime.’ The album is expected to feature artistes like Terry G, T Cole and Zion. The 10-track album will also contain tracks like ‘Together’ and ‘Halla Me.’ He also narrated how he met When asked if he has ever been heartbroken, he said: “Yes! It happened when my first love travelled back to her country in South Africa. He added that after the incident, he felt like dying.

He has also vowed to commit his success to bringing up other up and coming acts.
