The Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty Ooni Adeyeye Ogunwusi Ojaja II, has taken the kingship office into a whole new level and creating perception that being a king should not be centred on the traditional institution alone.

Since mounting his royal position, the Ooni, has been seen gracing various events and rather than seat in his throne for people to come visiting him, he as also taken it upon himself to move round and meet other people to discuss how to move his state and the country forward.

Rather than wait for political office holders of the country to bring the change being talked about, he feels he can use his office to impact lives which is what he has been doing.

Recently, during the children’s day celebration, the Ooni urged Nigerian children to believe in Nigeria and be dedicated to the development of the country.

“Children of the past believed so much in this country and that aided the growth of this country. Patriotism from the older generation children helped this nation so much, but the country no longer enjoys such today again. “Today’s children must also believe in this country, they must have hope in this country.

“The children are the future of this country; we can do more for the children. We should be more afraid of the children than even the adult because the level of investment in them will tell on this country. Leaders must move closer to the children and that is exactly what you have seen my wife and I do today.”
