The various social media platforms and blogospheres at large was agog with the news of the passing away of Mayowa Ahmed, who made headlines through actress, Toyin Aimakhu.

The late Mayowa was said to be down with cervical cancer which was beyond treatment base on arguments from some quarters until Toyin stepped in to help create awareness on her health issue.

Funds were raised to the sum of about N80 million within three days just to help her get a good treatment outside the country. But after the funds were raised, it became a mild drama between Toyin and Mayowa’s family as reports later emerged that it was a scam.

The Police was invited into the matter and at the end; Toyin was vindicated after many had come to attack her that she needed a share of the money. Despite all, both partied moved on until the sad news of the death of Mayowa. http://www.nigeriafilms.com

Nigerians have played their role just to save a life they never knew and with the little funds raised to the sum of N80 million, she was taken to a hospital in South Africa where she died, the questions will now be what will happen to the remaining part of the money? Her will be paid for to be flown into the country for burial according to Islamic rites and she will be celebrated, so where does the other part of the money goes to?

Will it be donated to the orphanage or the family will share it among themselves after her burial? These and many more questions will be lingering in the hearts of many Nigerians who sent in their token to help save Mayowa’s life.
