Fans of Nigerian music superstar, ‘Wizkid’ are jubilating over his recent achievement as his ‘Come Closer’ song featuring Drake has gone platinum in Canada.
Wizkid’s fan page on Instagram called Wizkidnews shared the great news on the platform on January 15 after the song was certified on January 13 2021.
Sighted on the page Wizkid’s ‘Come Closer’ song surpassed 80,000 units being sold which enabled it reaching platinum.
Their handle reads;
NEWS ? @wizkidayo’s “Come Closer” featuring @drake is now certified platinum in Canada for sales of 80,000+ units! ??
This is Wizkid’s second song to go platinum or higher — first as lead. He’s the first and only Nigerian artist to go platinum in Canada (2x).
